INTERVIEW WITH WORLD
ARTIST OF GENERATION Z
ANNA DIANOVA
Anna Dianova graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Kyiv, works in a conceptual and figurative art style.
She belongs to the artists of the era of metamodernism, rethinking history and creating a new futurological mythology. Discovering emotionally charged topics tied to personal motives and experimentation.
At the moment, Anna is in the USA and she told us
what is the difference between life for both
an Artist and a Model in USA and Ukraine.
For 2 years now you have been permanently in the USA, tell us about your successes?
The visits to major events such as Art Basel Miami, Armory Art Show NY and Frieze Art LA can definitely be highlighted, thanks to which there was an opportunity to see and meet world stars such as Karim Rashid or Leonardo DiCaprio, who inspired many of the paintings. I can not help but tell the same about the Black Lives Matter protests on Manhattan during the Pandemic, which opened up an understanding of American history. Being here between New York, Miami and Los Angeles and witnessing global changes and reflecting this in creativity is already a success for an artist.
What is the difference between the art life of America and Ukraine?
The scale of opportunities and their number. This is especially felt in New York, I had to work hard on myself in order to forget old habits and open the creation to the endless options that the city offers every minute. At some point, I lost my sleep, because I so wanted to be in time for everything, attend all events and meetings, because people living in Manhattan are unique in themselves, for example, top experts in the global economy, world-scale designers, owners of skyscrapers, just walking hand hand in hand with you. This is the difference.
How do you define your artistic credo, method, approach?
I bring to the world information that comes to me through my observation and experience. I always try to receive revolutionary information in order to enlighten and illuminate events, and most importantly, to understand the essence of life and what is happening myself. I am constantly looking for a new form and methods of presenting an idea, I believe that it is important to take risks and try something new.
What is the coolest city in America for an artist?
I bring to the world information that comes to me through my observation and experience. I always try to receive revolutionary information in order to enlighten and illuminate events, and most importantly, to understand the essence of life and what is happening myself. I am constantly looking for a new form and methods of presenting an idea, I believe that it is important to take risks and try something new.
What's the difference in prices?
Prices differ colassally with Ukraine, here for $2 000 you can afford to rent one room in an apartment in Manhattan and accordingly, prices for art in America are higher.
You belong to a Generation of very young artists, tell us briefly about your aesthetic views and approaches
I am a graduate of the National Art Academy in Kyiv, where I studied academic painting, so my view of aesthetics is very classical, but since I grew up during the development of technology, I also decided to create Digital Art for the first time for the Economic Forum in Virtual Reality and in particular for the first NFT social network Proof-of-Love. Today all my artistic practice is imbued with the themes of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization.
How much has Digitalization penetrated America's artistic life more deeply?
I can admit that Digitalization has penetrated all over the world, regardless of countries and cities. Of course, the most successful companies concentrate their offices in the USA and collect the best talent such as Google, Snapchat and many others, but today I can confidently say that talent is scattered all over the planet.
Which senior meter would you turn into an NFT token?
Arsen Savadov - his works are perfect for animation.
Miami is booming in the Blockchain industry right now, does it help a lot?
From June 4-6, one of the largest Bitcoin summits in America was held, where all the most successful entrepreneurs in the field of digital technologies gathered, of course, being here and now is a privilege.
Anna, we are glad that you have joined the Proof-of-Love social network. At the moment you are one of the artists who are selling very well.
I'm also glad that Proof-of-Love exists. This is a big breakthrough in blockchain and NFT. It has never been so easy and simple to issue an NFT token and sell it. During the first day of my existence on the social network, I sold more than 3 works. Which is already a good indicator! Proof-of-Love has become my favorite ART destination!
What would you suggest to improve in the of the NFT social network Proof-of-Love?
I would like the social network Proof-of-Love to become known all over the world!
What makes you better here than on other NTF platforms?
Proof-of-Love is ideally adapted for use by both the artist and the buyer.
You are changing the world, you are a young girl, but you have such success in the field of Art and Modeling. Tell me how it is for you and how did you manage it
Thank you! I am glad that I am an example for many people. It will inspire me insanely and give me more strength to create something new and creative.
Anna, what are your plans for the near future?
Create a personal exhibition for the American market.
Will you return to Kyiv and follow what is happening here?
I look forward to the best time for travel, I actively maintain contact with my homeland, because everything is globally connected.
You are a model and Gen Z - do you have plans to conquer the European market as well?
Thank you, of course my modeling in Kyiv began with the first professional photo shoot for TOP 10 magazine, a lot has happened since then, and I still combine Art and Modeling, in the USA it is especially popular. I also managed to take part in exhibitions in Monaco and I like Europe and I am sure there are still many events ahead that need to be targeted, such as Venetian Biennale, Art Basel and Fashion Weeks.
We thank Anna for such a wonderful interview
and
wish her great success!
